Runners up looking for Scripter Honours
The authors and screenwriters of "A Harmful Method" "The Descendants" "Jane Eyre" "Moneyball" and "Mess Tailor Soldier Spy" happen to be named runners up for that 24th-annual USC Libraries Scripter Award. Champion is going to be introduced in a February. 18 ceremony around the USC campus. Established through the Buddies from the USC Libraries in 1988, Scripter honors the film writer(s) from the year's most accomplished motion picture adaptation along with the author(s) from the written work where the script relies. The entire listing of nominees are: "A Harmful Method": film writer Christopher Hampton, modified from John Kerr's book "A Most Harmful Method: The Storyline of Jung, Freud, and Sabina Spielrein" and Hampton's 2002 stage play "The Speaking Cure" "The Descendants": screenwriters Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon, and Jim Rash, modified from Kaui Hart Hemmings' novel "Jane Eyre": film writer Moira Buffini, modified in the 1847 Charlotte now Bronte book "Moneyball": screenwriters Steven Zaillian, Aaron Sorkin and Stan Chervin, according to Michael Lewis' "Moneyball: The skill of Winning an Unfair Game" "Mess Tailor Soldier Spy": screenwriters Bridget O'Connor and Peter Straughan, according to John le Carre's book.
