Twisted awards are a Scream
Colin Farrell and Robert Downey Jr. get into the horror spirit at the Spike TV event.Actor Paul Reubens aka Pee-Wee Herman. The Scream Awards flaunted a twisted carnival-meets-steampunk motif to honor this year's pics for horror, sci-fi, fantasy and all things geeky. The Lucent Dossier Experience set the scene among fans who got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up as their favorite nominees on Universal's backlot. Mingling among the many Black Swans and Jack Sparrows were "Dark Knight Returns" stars Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Maverick Award winner Nicolas Cage, Ultimate Villain honoree Darth Vader (along with George Lucas), Visionary Award honoree Paul Reubens and Hero Award winner Robert Downey Jr., who was greeted by the fans with Tony Stark placards and chants of "RDJ.""When I think of a hero, I think of one man: He's brave, he's strong ... and I'm slightly attracted to him," joked presenter Colin Farrell. "He's a hero with swagger."The chaos continued into the night as the after-party hit full swing on Universal's Lot 28, complete with a full scale merry-go-round and faux French courtesans.
